Feather Publishing wins newspaper association's top award
Feather Publishing won four awards in the annual California Newspaper Publisher's Association's (CNPA) Better Newspaper Contest, including first place for General Excellence. The newspaper also won two second place awards for Best Editorial Comment and Page Design and Layout. Over 300 newspapers in California competed in the contest this year, which sets the standard of excellence for both daily and weekly newspapers in the state.
Publisher Mike Taborski said, "Winning these awards, especially General Excellence, shows just how committed every member of our staff is to producing a top quality product for our readers and advertisers. This is the second time in three years that Feather Publishing has won first place in General Excellence. Over the past two decades, the paper has won over 100 first and second place awards in the Better Newspaper Contest, making it one of the most award-winning weekly newspapers in the state.
